Who we are
This website is run by Edward Hunter, trading as Edventure Marketing ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data collected through this website.
Contact: ed@edventuremarketing.com, 17 Frankland Close, Rickmansworth, WD3 3AR.
What we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us:
- Free analysis form: your name, company name, business email, phone number, the link to your business on Google Maps, and how soon you want to solve the problem.
- Newsletter form: your first name and email address.
- Chat assistant: anything you type into the chat on this website, including any contact details you choose to share.
- Emails and calls: anything you send us when you contact us directly.
This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and we do not run analytics that identify you. The chat assistant may store a small amount of information in your browser so your conversation can continue between pages.
How we use it
- To prepare and send your free analysis, and to follow up about it. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to your request, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To send you our newsletter, if you sign up. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.
- To reply to messages and deliver services if you become a client.
We never sell your data or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of trusted providers to run this website and our email:
- Netlify hosts this website and receives form submissions. Netlify is based in the United States. Transfers are protected by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or standard contractual clauses.
- FlowCrews provides the chat assistant on this website and processes the messages you send through it in order to reply.
- Google Workspace provides our email, where form notifications and your messages are received.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to working together are deleted within 24 months. Newsletter details are kept until you unsubscribe. Client records are kept for as long as needed for the work and for our legal and accounting obligations (usually 6 years).
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email ed@edventuremarketing.com. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
